Features Overview
The Backcountry Winch provides a light weight solution to pulling and recovery problems in a packable package weighing less then 3 lbs and can be powered with a portable drill or the provided lever
Feature 1 - Weight
The Backcountry Winch is a powerful machine in a small light weight package. Pattented design (US 10,106,381 B2) tips the scales at under 3lbs allows this machine to be easily carried on every adventure. It’s small size (6.5”X6.5”X.5”) also allows it to be easily stowed leaving more space for other essentials. The package includes 100ft of hi-tech winch line. This line does not absorb water and is much lighter then steel cable. Since the winch does not wind the tow line on a drum you can pull something as far as you have line for. Example: If you have a 1000ft of line you can pull something 1000ft.
Feature 2 - Multi Speed
The Backcountry Winch has 2 speeds - Hi and Low. Low speed provides a 20:1 gear ratio. Hi Speeds provides a 4:1 internal gear ratio. These gears are the muscle behind the pulling advantage this winch provides. Great for using around the yard or on your outdoor adventures. Either use the provided handle or a cordless drill to power the winch. No more gas or permanent mounted winches to haul around or limit the use.
Feature 3 - Power
Still need more power? Add more pulleys in the tow line to increase the towing capacity to a maximum of 1500 lbs. Using more pulleys will reduce the stress on the winch and provide more power. Using a 3:1 or 4:1 external purchase system will pull a small car on a trailer or get your snowmobile out of a tree well, making your travels safer and more self-sufficient. Great addition to any snowmobile, motorcycle, ATV, or keep one stowed in your vehicle for emergencies.
