  1. Backcountry Winch is designed for pulling not lifting, know the difference between lifting and pulling and the forces applied before operating the device.

  2. Never exceed the weight limit of winch, tow or anchor line - personal or property damage may occur if weight limit is exceeded.

  3. Never winch an object down hill.

  4. Always know the strength of your anchor point

  5. Know what direction your tow will move.

  6. If tow will move make sure area is clear of people and objects.

  7. Always wear proper safety equipment. Such equipment may include safety eyewear, gloves, boots, long pants, etc. It is the operators responsibility to wear proper safety equipment or what they deem necessary.

  8. Keep appendages and clothing away from moving equipment including but not limited to winch, capstan, tow line and drive mechanism.

  9. Always attach tow securely

  10. Never use a Backcountry Winch for lifting objects

  11. It is the responsibility of the operator to make sure people and property are safe

  12. Never pull/winch people, persons or other animals

  13. Backcountry Winch, LLC does not take responsibility for the use of this product. The operator must use best judgement and operate under their own skills and liability.
